Twisted Sister is an American heavy metal band formed in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, in 1972. Led by the charismatic Dee Snider, who joined the band in 1976, Twisted Sister became one of the most recognizable acts of the 1980s hard rock and heavy metal scene.
