Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy is an American rock band formed in the Chicago suburb of Wilmette, Illinois, in 2001. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist and primary lyricist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley. They began their career as part of the Chicago punk scene, but soon stood out from their peers by blending elements of pop punk, emo, and alternative rock with pop music.
Fall Out Boy’s sound continued to evolve beyond the boundaries of their hit pop-punk formula. Released in 2007, Infinity on High became the band’s first album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200, featuring tracks such as This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race and Thnks fr th Mmrs. After releasing Folie à Deux in 2008, the band stepped away for several years before surprising their loyal fan base with a major comeback. Save Rock and Roll, released in 2013, became another number one album and ushered in a new era for the band with songs such as My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up). That resurgence continued with American Beauty/American Psycho in 2015, featuring hits such as Centuries and Uma Thurman.
Fall Out Boy have always been more than a collection of recordings. The band has toured extensively around the world and appeared at numerous festivals. They have played clubs, performed on the Warped Tour, and gone on to headline major arenas around the world. Their audience includes the generation of rock fans who grew up with the pop-punk and emo explosion of the 2000s, along with newer fans who have discovered the band during the years since.
