Default

Best known for their hit single “Wasting My Time,” Default emerged in the early 2000s with a sound that embodied the best of the post-grunge era. Using heavy, distorted riffs and emotive vocals, the band’s subsequent singles “Deny” and “Count on Me” secured their place in the late 90s and early 2000s rock n’ roll scene.
Late guitar virtuodo Jeremy Hora provided the band with tight, melodic riffs that balanced heaviness with pure melodic sensibility. Paired with the gruff yet distinguishable vocals of Dallas Smith, Default delivered a number of accessible hard rock tracks that should prove to please listeners with a taste for alternative music as well.
Default brought energy and competence to the performance, gaining a loyal following and introducing their music to those attending the concert who had not previously heard of the band. They have shared the stage with other big rock acts in recent years in preparation for their album release.
For the average music fan these items may not hold too much significance, but for collectors of Default guitar picks and backstage passes these items represent a moment in early 2000s rock when post-grunge was king.
